Rising house prices and high interest rates have forced some first-time buyers out of the property market.
In March 2007, the numbers were 8% lower than a year ago at 33,100, and borrowing had reached 3.31 times the current income - a record level previously reached in December.
The Council of Mortgage Lenders have said the proportion of first time buyer's incomes being swallowed up by interest payments was now at its highest level for 15 years.
The ever increasing costs of home-ownership are deterring many first-time buyers from getting on to the property ladder.
A Little Advice
People usually judge whether they like something or not based on their "first impression", which is usually formed within 30 seconds of first sight. With this in mind its best to spend a little extra time and effort on the front of your property. Plant some flowers, trim any bushes, pull out the weeds, pick up any leaves, sweep the entrance way, paint your front door, replace any tarnished house numbers or dented letter box's, get a new doormat, anything that will create that all important... first impression.
If you have a property you wish to sell then take a good quality photograph of the outside of the property, and e-mail it to us via our contact us page. Along with the photograph you should write a few lines of text stating any relevant information you have regarding the property. This includes the number of bedrooms, gardens, parking spaces and any other outstanding features of the property. Also state your name and e-mail address, and/or contact telephone number and how much money you would like for the property.
Its a good idea to take numerous photos of the various rooms etc.. but please do not send them to us. If a potential buyer is interested in your property they can contact you direct and may ask you to send them any extra photos or information that you may have.

This is still a new website, and we are still finding our way in this area so if you have any suggestions at all please contact us. Maybe one photopraph per property isn't enough, maybe you want more, maybe you want a bigger, more detailed description. Whatever you want please let us know and will adapt to what YOU want. We are planning to make this website the best of its kind on the net. This is going to take time and patience, and most of all properties for sale. So if you have a property for sale, then help us to help you to sell it. Thanks very much.
